The Inspiration behind this art piece!
Steps of Hope: Freedom in Motion, became an artistic expression of resilience, transformation, and the unyielding spirit of movement-both physical and spiritual. This piece was inspired by the flow of the ocean and the quiet strength of winter, giving this installation the journey to overcome adversity and finding freedom through motion. We know winter season brings shorter days and long nights. If you look at the elements or motifs in this painting, you will see the figure, in three different dance poses, whales, and flowers with couple seashells. Not only is this art piece part of my vision but it is part of exploring different ways to paint. For example, the blacklight paint; I thought this would bring that unique color palette to represent the unknown underwater poetic reflection that the ocean is mass and 96% unexplored. the luminary brightness with the blacklight just shows how awesome it brings more attraction to the art piece. If you get a chance to view this art piece, allow yourself to open up and see how you can connect to it. It is not about surviving but thriving. It is not about fearing but living. It is not about giving up but believing in hope. Let this be a reminder that even in the coldest, most uncertain moments, there is always a path forward, carried by rhythm of resilience and the warmth of community.
